Description
A sleepy Inostrancevia alexandri stretches and yawns before a long day in Permian Russia.
Inostranvevia is the largest Gorgonopsid known, and inhabited late Permian Northern Russia (Approx 260-254 mya)
Gorgonopsids are characterized by their large, saber-tooth like canines. (Inostrancevias canines could reach 15cm long)
Gorgonopsids are "mammal-like reptiles" (Synapsids) and so i decided to add some speculative light fur/hair like structures covering the body. Maybe such hair could have been used as extra insulation during the colder months, before they shed it during the warmer summer months. Who knows really.
